About Us
Bayview Caravan and Campsite is located just off the North Coast 500 route in Talmine, Melness, on the shores of Talmine Bay. Bayview Campsite is open annually from April 1st - September 30th.
On site we have several pitches with stunning sea views, a toilet block with free showers and an area to dispose of your chemical waste. We do not currently offer electric hook-up but look forward to adding this to the site in the future. Dogs are welcome on site but must be kept on a lead and we kindly ask you clean up after them.
Bayview Campsite is a great stopping point for those looking to explore the north coast of Scotland. We are ideally situated for day trips to local attractions, hill walking, fishing and several pristine sandy beaches. Ben Loyal and Ben Hope, the most northerly Munro, are just a stones throw away. Equally, we are the ideal destination for those looking for a relaxing break by the sea.
In Melness you will find a well stocked shop and post-office, craft shop selling local crafts and a hotel with public bar and restaurant (currently closed). All within a short walk of Bayview Campsite. In the neighbouring village of Tongue you will also find two hotels both with public bars and restaurants, a shop with post
office, and 24/7 self service fuel pumps.
